Position Description

The Cisco Network Engineer works with client companies in the installation, implementation and support of network infrastructures. This position offers diversity in clients and projects and the authority to manage client relationships with autonomy and a high-level of responsibility. Additionally, this person will work with and among a team of IT Network Consultants that are responsible for delivering a broad array of technology offerings.

Position Description

The Cisco Engineer / IT Network Consultant works with client companies in the installation, implementation and support of network infrastructures. This position offers diversity in clients and projects and provides for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities include:

- Designing, installing, diagnosing and resolving issues within network infrastructures, including equipment, servers, personal computers and software at client sites;
- Providing day to day technical support from workstations to servers
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

- 5 years experience with Cisco Routers and Switches
- CCNA and/or CCNP

Preferred Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related preferred and/or relevant experience.
- Prior consulting experience
- Strong communication skills and problem solving skills
- Excellent client skills and customer relationship management skills.
- Solid understanding of business and information technology processes.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest.

Additional experience in one or more of the following is beneficial:

- Exchange 2003 / 2007
- SAN/NAS implementation and virtualization.
- VMWare
- Citrix
