Position Description
We are looking for an International Tax (ITAX) Manager to join our expanding International Tax Group.
International Tax Managers will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements to include manufacturing, not-for-profit, government contracts, healthcare, construction, and financial institution clients. RSM McGladrey's International Tax practice consists of approximately 40 professionals nationwide with broad experience in international tax compliance and structuring matters. It provides outbound and inbound structure planning, foreign tax credit, world-wide tax minimization planning, transfer pricing analysis, FAS 109, foreign assignment planning and general international business advice.
In your important role, you will be responsible for the following:
• Reviewing tax returns and projects of tax associates while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process
• Assisting in staff development and training
• Researching and consulting on various tax consulting engagements
• Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
• Responsible for more complex tax return preparation
• Utilizing tax preparation software to prepare, review and process returns
• Interacting with managers, directors and partners and clients
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Must have at least 3+ years of federal corporate tax compliance and tax consulting experience
• Experience in public accounting
Preferred Qualifications
• Must have previous tax return review experience
• Must have experience in mentoring, guiding and training associates or have ability to do so
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Excellent tax technology skills necessary
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work additional hours as needed
